Our client is a NFP organization based in Brisbane's inner-city suburbs, who pride themselves on improving lives of the wider community. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit team, while working very closely alongside an experienced Finance Manager who will be proactive in your development. In this role, your primary responsibilities are to handle accounting duties such as preparing financial records, reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will be focused on transactional accounting and reporting, as well as system development, and process improvement. You'll also gain exposure to assisting with EOM processes and board reporting working closely with the FM. Given the career progression on offer, we're looking for someone who is capable of developing to the extent that in time you will be key to helping more junior staffs members grow and develop.

Your day-to-day key duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Payroll
• Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable
• Bank Reconciliations
• EOM journals
• Asset register maintenance
• Balance sheet preparations

To be successful in this role you will be required to have completed a bachelor's degree in business or equivalent (undergraduate or working towards completion of bachelor's degree).
