Finance Assistant Role within Asset Management
I am working with an international Investment Management firm based in Central London with the requirement for additional support in their property finance team. As an asset manager, they are committed to sustainable investing with their client focus being religious organisations, charities, and the public sector. They have over £6 billion assets under management and as their success increases and business grows, they are navigating into other exciting areas of wealth management.
The role itself is a Property Finance Assistant who would work alongside the Finance Manager and Accountant working on two property funds, providing the full bookkeeping and end-to-end accounting functions. You will be crucial to the maintenance of financial records for the two funds and you will gain significant exposure to all areas, with a very flat structure in place to benefit your own development and expertise. Responsibilities will include handling the AP, AR, credit control, management accounts, VAT returns as well as financial reporting when needed.
To be successful in this role, you should be part-qualified in ACCA/CIMA with a clear intention of continuing with this to become qualified. Ideally, you will have direct experience working within property/real estate and have an interest and understanding of the investment management sector. Experience and strong knowledge of Excel is essential as this will be primarily used by you, as well as the accounting software Sage. Overall, you should be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic and align yourself with the morals and values of the firm.
In return, you will be offered a base salary of up to £40,000 based on experience, along with a discretionary bonus. The firm also offer a competitive benefits package with a number of additional optional benefits including cycle to work, doctor service, discounted gym memberships as well as the ability to buy shares in the firm. They operate with a very healthy work/life balance and work with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home and are always supportive of employee wellbeing.
