Heyland Recruitment have recently been engaged by our client, a large and hugely successful organisation in the Warrington area, as they look to appoint a qualified Accountant with a flair for developing systems and reporting in a newly created role.

Following a recent implementation, my client requires a qualified senior finance professional who has a passion for system development that will define the financial reporting for the whole business.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Systems Accountant will also be working alongside various stakeholders in order to plan, develop and implement key systems projects which will include capital planning, budgeting amongst other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
* Assisting the BI team and in-house software Developers with solutions.
* Collaborating with finance teams across different regions to help with the prioritisation of system maintenance.
* Support the implementation of new solutions.
* Review and monitor different aspects of the company's systems.
* Assisting end-users to navigate different tools and reporting solutions.
* Troubleshooting and making recommendations for continuous improvement and development.

Requirements:
* Proven work experience and demonstrable understanding of operating and understanding finance systems including Dynamics Nav/D365 and Qlikview
* Have the ability to explain complex scenarios and solutions in a succinct and non-technical manner
* A structured thinker - have a holistic overview of how to support a project strategically and aligned to operational goals
* Have an awareness of ESG reporting and wider obligations
* Self-motivated and driven to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.
* Flexible with the ability to adapt to different situations

The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA finance professioanl and be able to proficiently utilise and navigate different reporting systems.

You will have previous experience of using an ERP system, with the desire to broaden your knowledge of different reporting solutions and an ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
