The Finance Analyst will be an integral part of the team. They would be proactively identifying issues and opportunities.

Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst based in Bristol are:
- To analyse cost data by category (including cost code, GL code, supplier, market), identifying opportunities.
- To challenge and monitor the accuracy of the cost data, working with the Management Accountants and Accounts Payable teams to rectify any issues.
- Supporting the Business Partner Operations team with ad hoc reporting and insights.
- Assisting the Business Partners in preparing Business Cases, particularly in relation to specific insights and data.
- Creation of reports from data sets in Excel or Power BI to answer questions posed by the Support Office team leads.
- Work with the Project Accounting team to track Capex and Opex spend for the Support Office Projects.
- Create and maintain reporting for Business Partners, project owners monitoring their performance against plans and Business Cases.
- Ensuring that all key financial issues are highlighted and discussed with clear actions to resolve.
- Project work as required by the business.
Profile
The successful Finance Analyst will have
- Analytical experience and the ability to turn financial and non financial data into useful Insights and KPIs
- Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, Power BI experience, or equivalent, proficient Powerpoint and confident on various management reporting systems
- Experience of data modelling, with the ability to turn ad hoc analysis into regular reporting
- Co-ordinate with the Shared Service Centre Management Accountants and Accounts Payable to ensure coding aligns with Cost Code and General Ledger code definitions
- Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong attention to detail and able to deliver 'right-first-time' results quickly without getting lost in the detail
- Deadline-focused and willing to put in the extra effort, as required
- A questioning mind, looking for where improvements can be made
- Ability to successfully influence stakeholders and deliver key messages and results
- Clear communication of financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Part qualified in professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
- Previous commercial finance experience
