Newly Created Position - Accounts Payable Specialist - Sydney CBD - Flexible WFH - Retail/Start Up
About the role This is a newly created opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a highly successful retail business based in Sydney's CBD. The role will initially involve building the AP function, and then have the opportunity to lead a small team. This will be a hands on role, with the expectation to lead and mentor.

The Responsibilities

• Build and process improve the AP function
• Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts, and payment of weekly bills
• Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliations
• Contribute accounts payable information to other departments upon request
• Opportunity to direct and lead the Accounts Payable team

The successful applicant will have

• Experience in a similar senior accounts payable position
• Experience working in retail or a start up an advantage
• Experience working on process improvement projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
