Our capes are on to reshape an industry built around outdated and shady products and practices. Our first brand Lyka delivers fresh, human-grade meals as a subscription service to dogs across Australia.

We're looking for an candidate with 2+ year commercial experience to join our finance team as we enter our scale-up phase.

About Lyka

Lyka was built on the belief that all puppers should live their best life. We deliver human-grade meals on a subscription to dogs all over Australia. We produce all of our food in our human-grade kitchen in Sydney.

Our company began when our founder Anna went on a journey to improve her dog Lyka's health. Anna started creating a homemade diet for Lyka. In just a few weeks, Lyka had more energy, less tooth decay, and a healthier coat.

Since then, Team Lyka has grown to a team of ambitious and like-minded dog-lovers with a single shared goal: to serve our customers and their pupper with the best possible care on the planet. From improving digestive issues in puppers to bringing back the youthful energy in seniors - we're getting closer to our mission, every day.

Lyka's product offering only continues to grow: our current meal subscription and treats offering are being serviced by three facilities in 2022, and we're already working on our plans to introduce more product lines and other meal types. We're starting with meals & nutrition, but beyond meals, we're targeting pet wellness services & life sciences for all pets!

JOB DESCRIPTION: Due to the scale of the production and fast growth, our production planning and financial reporting is becoming more complex and we are mowing to more sophisticated process and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly demand forecasting and production planning for different production lines and facilities
  • Support and optimise inventory movement and scheduling between facilities
  • Provide in-depth analysis of inventory level and costing
  • Assist with the development and improvement of financial models and provide ad-hoc analysis
  • Support relevant & timely financial reports on regular or on-demand basis
  • Assist in preparing financial budget and forecasting
  • Support with monthly end process and reporting
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to provide financial analysis to support decision making
  • Assist with system and process improvements


Requirements

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing planning and analysis, or management accounting
  • Tertiary qualified in commerce, accounting, finance, or related degrees, and pursuing a CPA/CA qualification
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset and capabilities
  • Strong modelling skills using Excel or other analysis tools
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively under time pressure and fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders, written and verbally
