TPF Recruitment is supporting a market-leading and highly reputable firm of Top 10 chartered accountants in their search for an experienced and ambitious Corporate Tax Partner to join their practice. This position will be focused on large groups, including national and international businesses.

The ideal candidate must have good technical skills and experience, and have a thorough understanding of UK and ideally international tax issues. The team deals with a broad range of tax issues including corporate transactions, M&A, property transactions, reconstructions & demergers, share schemes and EIS / SEIS, R&D; tax credits, patent box claims, exit planning and succession planning. The role would encompass predominantly domestic corporate tax advisory and planning work; ad hoc planning, project based work, overseeing a large and complex portfolio of existing clients, ranging from medium-sized businesses through to quoted groups. This position will have a wide-ranging remit focussing on advisory & planning work for an interesting client base, whilst working closely with the OMB tax team and other services lines within the business. You can be based in the Canterbury, or Medway areas.

This really is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest and best accounting firms, not only in Kent, but across the UK. A large proportion of the position will be built around the candidate, and their experience, but as an example, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing corporate tax efficient strategies for clients and assisting with any business-related tax interests
  • Providing support to clients with complex UK and International corporate tax issues
  • Dealing with corporate tax planning, cross-border tax structuring and deal tax structuring activities
  • Liaising with other Partners in other offices regarding tax projects for corporate businesses (including dividend planning, re-structuring, international tax, VAT etc)
  • Overseeing a team of qualified and part-qualified tax specialists ensuring that the quality of corporate tax work is done to agreed cost and timescales
  • Engaging with local referrers and other external third-parties regarding corporate tax business development
  • Confidently explaining business tax issues and options to clients in a non-technical manner
Requirements
  • To be considered for this position you should be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified
  • You will work in a Top 10, Top 100, or medium to large independent accountancy practice, or be working in Industry
  • You will be looking to either progress from a Senior Manager or Director level position into a Partnership job, or be an already established Partner, looking to join a market leading firm of accountants
  • You can be based in the Canterbury, or Medway areas.
