Reed Further Education are currently working with an OFSTED "Outstanding" College in the Farnborough area who are looking for a Purchase Ledger to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To control the Purchas Order Process through the companies accounting system
• Log all invoices received from suppliers on the finance software in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy of data entry and check suppliers' invoices on College Accounting System.
• Prepare supplier payment runs together with supporting documentation for the Head of Finance approval signoff.
• To generate BACS payment runs from the Accounting system.
• To post direct debits and credit card payments following Financial regulations.
• To process authorised refunds and sundry payments for Head of Finance sign off.
• To check the VAT treatment of invoices and credit notes.
• To provide accrual and prepayment reporting throughout the year.
• To run month and year end procedures
• To reconcile supplier statements on a regular basis and chase any invoices or credit notes not received in the college.
• Monitor and respond to correspondence i.e. emails, telephone calls etc. from suppliers and budget holders.
• To maintain the Purchase Ledger filing system.
• To maintain the Asset Register.
