KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

An exciting role (hybrid or UK-based remote) with an unusually wide remit in a PE-backed company of c.£20m turnover providing outsourced customer services solutions, including to household names blue-chip clients. To operate across both financial accounting and financial planning, including commercial exposure supporting new business pricing proposals.

An excellent opportunity to broaden and deepen existing accounting experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The business has high growth ambitions to achieve £50m+ turnover within 3-4 years including growth in the UK and establishing off-shore and near-shore business partnering.  A rapidly growing new business pipeline of blue chip opportunities. Acquisitions anticipated in the medium term.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Financial accounting:

  • Preparation of financial reporting to the ExCom and Board Monthly
  • P&L monthly outlook and variance analysis (in particular Revenue, Gross Profit (‘GP’) and Gross Margin (‘GM’))
  • Monthly KPI financial reporting
  • Cash flow analysis and reporting - monthly and weekly

Financial planning:

  • Provide commercial support to new business pricing proposals
  • Support production of annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts (P&L and cash flow)
  • Own and maintain rolling 13-week Short Term Cash Forecast management tool for decision making
  • Outlook monthly performance forecasting / tracking – Revenue and GP
  • Production of weekly client profitability reporting (GP and GM) and trend analysis
  • Tracking business performance against financial improvements/efficiencies baked into the Budget/Reforecast – including understanding and tracking high-level the key operational metrics that underpin and red-flagging off-track performance.  For example: shrinkage, attrition and call operator recruitment rate. Support business leaders in executing to/ahead of plan.
  • Ad hoc cost benefit analysis to support business decision making
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis, insight and project support to functional heads in Finance’s role as a true business partner – including due diligence on target acquisition(s)

KEY SKILLS:

Essential

  • Relevant accountancy qualifications (CIMA or ACCA)
  • Demonstrable relevant experience
  • Proactive and takes the initiative – ‘can do’ attitude but also seeks guidance/coaching
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Ability to prioritise, manage own delivery and accountability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and flexible
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Has the right to work legally in the UK
