Mō te Tukurau Aotearoa - About NZ Post
Around since 1840, New Zealand Post has a long history - and a great future. There are many of us - involved in postal, banking, communication, data management, logistics and distribution services - helping New Zealand run. Our eyes are firmly on the future and making sure we bring the best of it to our customers and communities.
The behaviours and attributes that are important to us:
● Bring the real you
● Stronger together
● Deliver the best
Finance Shared Services works across NZ Post providing support and advice to assist with business success.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Finance Shared Services team incorporates Customer Billing, Credit Control and Accounts Payable & Purchasing. This multi-functional group has the responsibility for providing efficient and cost-effective Billing, Invoicing and Payment support services, to meet the needs of internal and external customers for NZ Post.
Our Credit Control team is looking for two people to join them in delivering high-quality customer service to NZ Post and its customers. This is achieved through ensuring that the debt collection on Customer accounts are proactively managed with a real focus on timely payments of invoices. All customer queries &/or disputes are resolved in a timely manner to enable prompt payment. Strong negotiation is essential in working with the customer if a payment plan is required and write offs will need to be at a minimal level.
This is a busy role and you'll need at least three years' experience in an accounts receivable and credit control role preferably in a large organisation which has a strong customer relationship component.
There'll be lots of opportunities to participate in projects, and as part of the wider Group Finance team you'll be expected to work collaboratively and, at times, with the flexibility to pick up the work of other roles within the team to achieve team objectives. A vital part of the process requires a strong relationship not only with internal NZ Post teams e.g. Account Managers but with the external Credit Management Bureaus, as this is the key in working together to receive payment of invoices.
What's in it for me?
We offer a competitive salary package which includes Kiwisaver contribution and a whole host of other benefits such as Kiwibank banking package, shopping discounts, volunteer leave, learning and development opportunities and more! Also important of course is a great work whanau - you'll be joining a close knit team and have the opportunity to progress your career if desired.
Interested? Come join the Whanau!
Apply today, or to find out the full requirements of the role please download the JD available via the NZ Post website. If you require additional information, contact Rachel Wilson (Talent Acquisition Specialist) on Rachel.Wilson@nzpost.co.nz
Applications close Sunday 17 July 2022. Please note applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and applications may be progressed before closing date.
All external applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand. Appointees will be subject to a security check and may be required to undertake a credit check and/or drug test.

There's something really special about being part of the team here at NZ Post - Tukurau Aotearoa, who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
