Job Details

You will be responsible for maximising the income for the Housing Association over the course of the 12 Months Fixed term Contract. You will manage The Service Charge and Rents, Customer Accounts and Income departments.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Head of Income are:

  • To be responsible to the Director of Customer Operations as a Head of Service for the management of the Service Charge and Rents Manager, Customer Accounts Manager and Income Manager and their respective service functions.
  • To maximise income for the organisation through ensuring a high level of service charge cost recovery, accurate rent setting and managing effective income recovery of any charges.
  • To lead on and mitigate the risks posed by Welfare Reform legislation, specifically the challenges posed by Universal Credit roll out.
  • To provide management/business information, quality management systems and performance measurement and implement and maintain any IT systems and data
  • To lead on cross organisational working, supporting fellow Heads of Service and deputise for the Director of Customer Operations. To foster a culture of continuous improvement, root cause problem solving and dispute resolution

Profile

The successful Head of Income will have:

  • Management experience of staff and/or teams to achieve high performance targets.
  • Very good IT skills to optimise work, communications and working in an agile way
  • Experience of at least two of the following functions: service charge billing, rent setting, income collection, S20 consultation and third party managing agents
  • Strong performance management experience
  • Commitment to delivering exemplary customer service.

Job Offer
