Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to other members of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate preparation of financial data. They must be a team player and detail-oriented.
Duties
- Accounts payable support as needed - invoice data entry, check runs & filing.
- Verify monies, prepare deposits and take to the bank as needed.
- Input of general ledger journal entries and assist in the monthly close process as needed.
- Reporting and data entry.
- Filing of various documents and records.
Qualifications
- Ability to make independent decisions within scope of job responsibilities.
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in producing deliverables is essential to the success of the position.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including a working knowledge of Excel that consists of pivot tables and other data manipulation methods.
- Experience with Sage 300/Accpac software preferred.
