Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

As our CFO you report to the Chief Executive and play a critical role in the executive team. As an ELT member you share accountability for helping us grow, lifting profitability and performance whilst aligning to Te Ara Putanga. You will lead a high performing finance team, and work closely with a strong and supportive executive team to provide collective leadership to the group. Your responsibilities will include strategic oversight of financial operations and treasury, budgeting and forecasting, modelling, reporting, investment analysis, risk management, and strategic advice to the CEO and Board. Working as part of a values based, intergenerational business, you will also engage with our shareholders, and role model our values to staff and the wider community.

A chartered accountant with significant experience, you are a naturally strategic, commercial and innovative thinker. You thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment, and you balance this with a steadfast set of values, and high EQ. Those values will align strongly to the aspirations and strategic objectives of PKW.

With strong attention to detail and a relentless focus on delivery, you are already a trusted advisor at the board and CE level. Your sector experience may include the primary and property industries and include direct exposure to Māori organisational structures, and you are comfortable working in a kaupapa Māori context.
