Capital Projects and Lease Accountant

This position will provide accounting for various capital projects, lease accounting, including fixed assets. My client is looking for a talented accountant who has experience with large scale project accounting.

Capital Project Accountant overview:

Ensuring capital allocation decisions are made in pursuit of the most value accretive opportunities. Liaison between operations management, project management, and accounting to support capital investment decisions.

Providing analysis and feedback on spending trends and relative assumptions.

Review expenditures for capital versus expense.

Partner with project management to monitor the status of projects and set financial expectations.

Capitalize, transfer and retire capital assets.

What the company needs in a Capital Project Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience (preferred experience to include responsibility for company general ledger, project or construction accounting and financial statements).
• Ability to establish and maintain quality relationships that support all levels of the organization while challenging conventional thinking for the betterment of the company
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and changing priorities
