Tatum by Randstad is working with a Phoenix company currently looking to add an Accounting Manager. The ideal person would have an SEC Financial Reporting background as well as a background in Equity and Compensation. The person would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stock administration of our employee equity programs, including equity grants, RSU grants and releases, stock option exercises. S/he will also be responsible for and preparation and/or review of equity compensation expense entries and reconciliations of equity activity. The Manager will partner with key stakeholders in our Financial Reporting, Accounting, Legal, and Human Resources teams to implement and improve processes, implement controls and provide reporting as needed.

qualifications:
Monitor, track and report all stock option, restricted stock, restricted stock unit and other equity award grants, modifications, vesting events, forfeitures and cancellations across the companyPrepare and/or review stock-based compensation expense entries on a monthly basisPrepare reconciliations of equity activity (including stock-based compensation) on a monthly and quarterly basisCoordinate with third parties to obtain fair value estimates for certain performance award units; review results of valuations and quarterly reporting on estimated payouts provided by third partyCoordinate with the Financial Reporting team to prepare stock-based compensation (U.S. GAAP) related disclosures for the company's quarterly financial statementsCoordinate with the Accounting executives on drafting technical accounting memos for complex stock-based compensation and equity arrangements, as well as updating stock-based compensation accounting policies as necessaryCalculate basic and diluted weighted average shares to be used in quarterly earnings per share (EPS)Ensure the completeness and accuracy of applicable general ledger accountsOversight and administration of stock compensation softwareAssist in enhancing and documenting equity-related procedures, policies, and controlsOther related duties as assigned by Manager and or Leadership
Equity Compensation Programs: Proficient in stock plan administration for a public company, including stock options, RSUs, performance shares, and understanding SEC and NYSE filing requirements.Economics and Accounting: Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.GAAP Principles: Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply them appropriately within the organization.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information.Critical Thinking: Sound analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
