A permanent opportunity going through Randstad to join a non for profit aged care organisation that is highly reputable and has been around for over 30 years. Their passion is to provide the best outcome for older people and the greater people in the community.

Due to high demand my client has experienced rapid growth within the last 12 months and is seeking a Payroll Officer for a newly created role that will be working very closely with the Payroll Manager.

It is an excellent opportunity for those who are experienced with the end to end payroll process, have worked on payroll projects previously and thrive in a collaborative team environment and ideally have used Micropay.

You Responsibilities:
  • Production of fortnightly payroll including the printing and distribution of pay slips
  • Conduct reconciliations of all payroll related general ledger accounts
  • Prepare termination and redundancy payments
  • Manage and maintain electronic and hard copy payroll files and documentation in compliance with legislation and policy
  • Process salary packaging with the outsourced salary packaging provider
  • Assist the Payroll Administrator to prepare the Fringe Benefits Taxation Return
  • Maintain a current knowledge of Awards, MCA's Certified Agreement and other staff entitlements

Preferred skills and experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with end to end payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and tax is highly desired.
  • Proven experience working within a high volume processing environment
  • Experience using the Micropay and Roster On system is desired but not essential.
  • Experience working with award interpretation is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and comprehensive problem solving skills with strong people skills.
  • A current and clear National Police Records Check and NDIS Check (or willingness to have one carried out).
