Mullins Wheels is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its market leading business.

Mullins Wheels commenced operations as a motor repair and engineering business in Wyatt Street, Adelaide in 1905. In the early days of motoring, spare parts were non-existent and replacement components such as wheels had to be manufactured as required. Since the company's beginning in the early 1900's, and continuously through the evolution of the motor industry, Mullins Wheels has been involved in the supply of wheels to the automotive industry. Today, Mullins Wheels is a sophisticated, modern sales and distribution business, with operations in five states across Australia. With an extensive range of Alloy Wheels, Steel Wheels, Truck & Semi-Trailer Wheels & Rims, Forklift Wheels, Trailer Wheels, Trailer Axles and Trailer Components, the company's focus has always been to meet and exceed the customer's expectations which has been the key to the company's growth and success.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial Controller will manage the company's financial and administrative functions to support its business plan and provide budgetary and financial support to the operating departments. The Financial Controller will also periodically review and make recommendations on financial and company policy and ensure that the business complies with all statutory and legal requirements. Other responsibilities include the preparation of budgets, reports and forecasts, and controlling activities such as taxation, credit policy, cash flow and treasury operations, investment policy, costing and expense control, insurance arrangements and property administration.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and possess tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or similar, and will have excellent capacity for developing innovative solutions for complex issues. Prior experience using PRONTO mainframe systems will be highly regarded for this role, as well as the ability to keep abreast of accounting, legal, economic and government requirements and regulations.

- Excellent communication, attention to detail, planning and analytical skills;
- Strong ability to motivate and contribute in a dynamic team environment;
- Ability to establish effective relationships with financial institutions, insurers, auditors and other professional service providers.
