An Accounts Assistant is needed to join the team at DH Management Limited in Chester, Cheshire.
We're a fast-growing property management business, offering services for our clients purchasing via our sister company Solomon Investment Partners.
We are headquartered in Chester with a global reach, allowing us to provide an unrivaled service based on honest and direct industry knowledge. We pride ourselves on being a step ahead of the market, helping our clients realise their investment goals.
Salary:
£22,000.00 annually
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5 pm; Fridays 9 am to 3pm. 30 minutes lunch break.
About the Role
As an accounts assistant, you will work closely with your team to provide day to day accounting support to the business by:
- Dealing with property owners and property agents.
- Ensuring stakeholders receive accurate management information in a timely manner.
- Maintaining the property management software information to ensure property owners and property agents are receiving accurate reports.
Key Responsibilities
XERO
- Reconcile the bank account daily
- Schedule bank payments to Property owners in advance of due date
- Schedule bank payments to suppliers
- Receive rent payments
- Reconcile the property agent float
ARTHUR - Bespoke Property Management Software
- Create property owners' repair charges and match to assurance payments.
- Create Property owner payments and send remittances to property owners
- Create Tenant charges relating to repairs and maintenance and match to rental income
- Pay off rent receipts as per the property agent's statement
Reporting
- Monitor Rent arrears and report to MD if greater than 1 month, liaise with the property agent to confirm what is being done about the arrears.
- Analyse the monthly income and expenditure by development and report to MD.
About You
Essential requirements
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- More than 2 years accounting experience
- Proficient in data entry and management
Desirable requirements
- Knowledge of XERO accounting software
- AAT level 2 or QBE
