I. JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing a variety of activities specific to accounts payable function including complex analysis and reporting, leading efforts to implement process improvements, and ensuring adherence to accounts payable policies and audit controls. Build cross functional relationships to support the implementation of process improvements. Serve as the subject matter expert when engaging internal and external auditors regarding Accounts Payable process, procedures, and controls.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform the month-end Accounts Payable close process and coordinate with corporate accounting to identify and resolve reconciliation issues. Ensure all accounts payable transactions including liabilities and cash disbursements are properly reflected in the general ledger.
2. Research and recommend improvements to schedules, procedures, and systems to enable the timely and accurate accumulation, adjustment, and reporting of financial data.
3. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and testing for corporate-wide payables Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Collaborate regularly with internal and external auditors and recommend changes to ensure controls adequately reflect current accounts payable processes.
4. Analyze effectiveness of existing reporting tools and recommend improvements to support accounts payable processes and policy compliance. Lead development and utilization of KPI's to measure performance of key accounts payable processes.
5. Assist in coordination and monitoring of multiple cross functional projects implementing process enhancements including standardizing processes across operating companies and fully utilizing existing and new technologies.
6. Research and recommend solutions to positively impact accounts payable contributions to corporate liquidity through discounted pay terms, lowest cost payment methods, payables recovery audits, and other potential contributions to the bottom line.
IV. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field.
2. Five (5) years' progressive experience in a finance or payable related position.
3. Ability to understand systems and technology and how it can deliver efficiencies. Ability to collaborate effectively with IT and other business process owners to effectively utilize cutting edge technology solutions.
4. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to process, interpret and summarize large amounts of complex data and communicate results to management.
6. Advanced MS Excel skills.
7. Proficient using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel).

V. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrated communication and project management skills working with cross-functional teams.
2. Advanced degree or professional certifications in finance or payable related fields (CMA, CPA, CIA, etc.)
3. Transportation industry knowledge.
4. Experience with Oracle Cloud and Coupa applications.
5. Experience with data analytics tools, including Power BI.

VI. WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors and at time requires the ability to work effectively from a remote home office. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Occasional work in terminal and shop floors being exposed to the elements of heat and cold. Occasional exposure to heavy equipment and machinery, dirt, dust, and high-frequency noises.

VII. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying of 20 lbs. of parts, supplies and materials is required.
