We have an amazing opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Finance Assistant to join our fast paced, fun, vibrant office located in Warrington town centre, close by to great transport links to bus and train stations.
Due to the growth in our business and increased workloads, we are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced and organised Finance Assistant with a financial background.
As Finance Assistant you will be organised, proactive and professional. The Finance Assistant will understand each customers / suppliers needs and deadlines, to ensure the report is maintained. As a Finance Assistant you will report directly into the Finance Director whilst having the support from the wider Team.
The role of Finance Assistant
- Maintaining and building positive relationships with all our internal and external teams
- Purchase invoice processing, authorisation from Heads of Department and Directors, and weekly payment run's
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Accruals and prepayments
- Raise Proforma Invoices
- Month End Reconciliations
- Resolving customer / supplier queries promptly
- Reporting weekly on aged creditors, payments and overdue credit
- Bank Reconciliations
- Support Sales Ledger and Credit Control
- Ensuring credit limits are adhered to
- Follow the debt chasing process through to court action
- Collect outstanding debt, allocate all payments daily, negotiate payment plans with client to recover outstanding debts
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customer credit rankings (Shared)
- Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by the line manager or directors
- Other ad hoc duties

The Successful Candidate will;
- Be driven, positive and creative
- Have good computer skills, especially excel
- At least 2 years purchase ledger and credit control experience
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines
- Have previous experience dealing with a factoring / ID facility
- An excellent telephone manner
- Ability to communicate at all levels in a professional manner
- Excellent team worker
- Have an sharp eye for detail
- Possess the ability to build, and maintain, strong relationships
