Job Description: Finance Lead - Management Accountant UK Salfords (Redhill), Surrey
Salary £37.5k-£40k pa plus bonus plus study support

Due to sustained growth an experienced commercially minded Management Accountant is required in an industry leading organisation with over 30 years' experience of supplying critical process equipment to the pharmaceutical industry. Recently two new agency agreements have been established with top class suppliers of complimentary equipment has added additional revenue streams.

Key responsibilities:

You will be required to ensure that Management Accounts and reporting are finalised for use by management by workday 8 each month and to manage monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations as well as quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations Revenue/VA/Gross Profit focus ensuring that revenue matches costs for each product group each month/period and that GP% seems reasonable.
You will also be reporting of specific Capital Equipment Project GP% vs Budget at project end as well as reporting of other revenue stream GP% vs Budget (whole area and major contracts >£10k sales value within) and of Project GP% vs Budget at project end. You will be required to review contract variation work undertaken and ensure that POs are received, and income invoiced and reporting of warranty costs and cost of poor quality (including direct labour aspects).
You will manage Inter-Company transaction, finance aspects of annual stocktake (preferably to replace with perpetual/periodic stock counting system), prepayments and accruals and ensure completeness.

You will review travel costs and ensure is in line with policy, monthly Staff costs reporting as well as controlling, reporting and forecast Capex spending. Fixed Assets Management (including disposals) and reconciliation of asset register to Operations equipment register.
You will also be reporting annual entertainment costs via PSA, preparing P11D and general staff tax compliance, wages/salaries/pension input and review ensuring all payments match policy.

Skills & Experience

  • AAT or part qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred
  • Some costing and purchasing experience or exposure is preferred
  • Logistics/import/export experience useful
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Advanced Excel
  • Well organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working with international customers and suppliers
  • Multi-Company accounting experience including knowledge of working with an overseas subsidiary
