Immediate Start Available Brisbane CBD Based Role Exciting Mining Based Opportunity About the Role: WorkPac is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to work with our mining client, Based in the Brisbane CBD. The role has a Monday to Friday Roster, 40 hours per week. What you will be doing: The Cost Control Officer ensures best practice cost control system processes are followed and the cost control system maintained with accuracy for all projects. He / she is responsible to ensure: Ensures Cost and associated cash-flow forecast are alignment with Scope, WBS and Schedule. Assist in maintaining integrated cost control plan incorporating all stakeholders and technical functions. Maintenance of required cost controls elements (Data flow and integration from Engineering through to Commissioning). Monitoring all cash-flows, providing accurate reports of progress, variance to plan, root causes and remedial actions. Development of integrated Cost Control Structure: Ensuring alignment with the Group Cost Control Standards for each phase. Assist in the development of Basis of Estimate when required Assist in the development of the WBS structure within Prism and then ensuring integrity of data between Scope, WBS and Cost Break-down Structure Base lining detailed cash flow (incl. escalation and forex) directly related to baseline estimate and schedule. Maintain and adhere to efficient controlled invoice approval process. Control & Monitor Costs, Cash-flow, and Forecasting: Cost tracking and trending by application of Earned Value principles. Establishing and producing reports from Prism Establishing required interfacing (human and technical) to ensure alignment of all costs incurred by the projects with close alignment to invoice processing personnel (cost accountants), contractors and suppliers. Early identification of variances to Cost FFC (trends) Analysis and interpretation of root cause/s, and identify remediation strategies Initiate and manage formal change process for assigned projects Forecast (trending) impact and adjust cash-flow and budgets accordingly based on confidence in remedial and recovery actions Reporting: Assist with integrating cost information with Dashboard reports Self QA of the data collection process Effective communication and clarity around key messages What you need: University degree/diploma Qualification in Cost Control (e.g. AACE) preferred, not required 5 -7 years experience in the following:Cost Control Knowledge and experience of: Mining and related construction, operations environment.
