Travel company recruiting a new FC for 55k - 60k in London

Your new Role

  • Leadership of the finance function assuming responsibility for all aspects of the company's financial direction and management
  • Take an active role in the commercial management of the business and be pro-active to any commercial issues and decisions.
  • Oversee consolidation of all finance information and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and the highest standards of corporate governance
  • Take prime responsibility for the management of cash and all banking relationships
  • Ensure all company documents (internal and external) are compliant, kept up to date, signed and filed securely
  • Provide financial analysis, internal control guidance and other support for the business
  • Interpret and communicate financial data, cash flow and statistical information to the management team
  • Identify and resolve any accounting and control issues related to the business
  • Develop tools for reporting and maintain applications used in company's accounting processes, this will involve possible migration into a new financial IT platform in 2020
  • Responsible for preparing, forecasting, reporting and complying with the requirements to government and regulatory agencies
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues relating to the general ledger and balance sheet
  • Review and monitor accounting controls to ensure accurate and timely financial records
  • Work closely with all areas within the business to analyse expenditure and improve where possible
  • Review the role and oversee the company Accounts Manager and their responsibilities that include:
    o the coordination and preparation of the monthly payroll process and annual reporting requirements o Analysis of sales revenue and profit on a daily basis
    o Spending in line with the budget
    o Handling of sales invoices, income, receipts and payments o Completion of VAT returns
  • Perform other duties required

    What you'll need to succeed
    A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, an interest in the travel and tourism industry and a great personality!
