Co-ordinate Month end, Year End and Statutory Accounts

Our client is a commercially minded business with T/O in excess of £100m

Description

The Group Finance Manager is contracted for 12 months with a strong possibility of extension.

The role is part of the Finance Leadership Team

Responsible for:

  • reviewing and finalising the management accounts
  • leading the external audit process
  • financial management and reporting of joint venture partnerships
  • the central overheads management accounting and business partnering service
  • Accurate reporting (FRS102)
  • co-ordinate and produce the annual budget and regular forecasts
  • management reporting requirements (exec accounts pack, Board packs, weekly flash, management accounts pack)
  • consolidation of budgets and forecasts - for Exec
  • oversight of capital expenditure, variance analysis
  • statutory accounting and reporting for the consolidated accounts
  • oversight of the balance sheet, ensuring all balances are correctly categorised and appropriate
  • Oversight of VAT accounting
  • Manages team of 6 with 3 direct reports

Profile

To be considered for the 12 month contract as Group Finance Manager we are looking for:

  • Degree Educated
  • Qualified Accountant ( CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Experience operating in a large finance function, ideally multi-site
  • Excellent knowledge of FRS102 and UK GAAP
  • Extensive experience producing statutory accounts and managing external auditors
