Purpose of the role

Responsible for processing of invoices, including reconciliations, processing of payments, debit orders, bank accounts and petty cash

Creditors

• Capture data and general information
• Processing of supplier invoices
• Prepare supplier reconciliations
• Responsible for loading new suppliers and beneficiaries
• Ensure that supplier invoices are authorised according to company policies and delegation of authority
• Resolving supplier and payment queries
• Processing recoupment invoices to customers
• Query outstanding amounts where payment terms have lapsed
• Prepare documentation for monthly debit orders
• Processing credit card transactions
• Reconciling credit card slips to statement for all credit cards
• Processing petty cash entries
• Reconciliation of petty cash
• General administration functions

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 required Accounting and Mathematics as subjects
• Computer literate: Microsoft Office and Excel desirable
• Any Sage accounting package experience will be advantageous
• Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred or willingness to learn
• One to two years relevant experience required
• Good organisational skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to deal with multiple requests and tasks
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliverables
