Charity Finance Assistant £24,000 - £25,000 annual salary Oxford / Hybrid Working ASAP Start Charity Sector
Your new company
A small charity who provide fundraising support for local healthcare organisations in Oxfordshire. Our client is looking for a permanent finance assistant to join their team.
Your new role
- Maintaining income records
- To check allocation of cost centres for all income
- Ensure that all bank accounts and control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
- Prepare weekly cash and cheque banking for collection
- Prepare Gift Aid claims
- Issuing invoices and pursuing late payments
- Answer queries from donors
- Assist with administrating fund balances
- Post month end journals relating to deposits, fixed assets, investments, payroll, accruals and prepayments
- Assist the Head of Finance with compiling internal financial reports
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience of working in an accounting and finance qualification
- AAT qualified, ACA/ ACCA part qualified or QBE
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good attention to detail
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Organised and able to meet tight month end deadlines
- IT: Excel (essential), Netsuite, PSF, SAP or SAGE finance systems desirable
