We are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team here in our Colchester Head Office. This role will start on a 3 month contract progressing to a permanent role after 3 months. The position will initially be based in the office 5 days per week and can progress into a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 from home should you wish to.

Requirements and key accountabilities:

* Work in Purchase Ledger team to assist with the accurate and timely payment of suppliers

* Inputting Invoices

* Deal with phone and e-mail queries from suppliers

* Open post and upload invoices onto eBis system

* Check supplier statements and follow up queries, including requesting copy invoices where needed

* Work with Homes and Head Office colleagues to ensure invoices are approved in line with payment terms

* Maintenance of utilities database

* Upload multiple home invoices to the ledger

* Other office duties as required

* Excellent verbal and written communication

* Experience working in finance team and understanding of finance systems and familiar with supplier payments
