Rutherford Briant are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant for a highly regarded and successful insurance brokerage based in Basildon. They are a private equity backed business that are responsible for a large number of UK based entities, and due to recent success and developments, they are now looking to make a variety of additions to the finance team.

They are offering a competitive salary between £38,000 and £48,000 depending on your level of experience, as well as full study support for any professional qualifications, and an opportunity to progress throughout the finance team.

Our client is ideally looking to employ an analytical and ambitious professional who is a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA), has solid Excel skills, and is looking to pursue a successful career within management accounting.

What you will do:

Providing management accounts support to businesses within a rapidly expanding centralised finance function.Producing of month end management accounts.Conducting variance analysis on income and expenses, income bridges between Actual and Budget, and Aged Debtor analysis.Assisting in producing the month end CEO Report.Preparing and submitting income flash reports in line with timetable.Ensuring intercompany balances are reconciled on a monthly basis.Producing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Producing of annual budget, preparing of annual statutory accouts, and assisiting with year end audit.Preparing of monthly solvency calculations in line with FCA CASS 5 rules.Assisting Group Finance and Finance Business Partner in delivering Group led changes.Overseeing the daily, weekly, monthly routines for purchase ledger & cashbook.What you will need:

Part Qualified / currently studying for an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA).Solid computer and Excel skills.Previous experience working within management accounting.The ability to make deadlines.Effective problem solving skills.
