An established local and international fashion business is seeking to permanently employ a commercially minded Management Accountant (Apparel & Fashion) in one their business units. This position will be based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting which entails:
  • Management accounting packs (Income statement, balance sheet and working capital analysis)
  • Store P/L - performance for your business unit
  • Business unit summary of performance for the month by key driver
  • Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow management and cash flow forecasting for the business unit
• Management of the chart of accounts and ensuring efficient and appropriate maintenance of the General Ledger
• Providing transaction accounting support for the processing into and balancing of the various subledgers.
• Review and approval of material entries and adjustments
• Maintenance, review and approval of the banking
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Store feasibility assessments
• Audit support for annual and ongoing audit purposes
• Managing and enhancing the internal control environment
• Provide commercial support to Unit Head and also other departments within the unit

Requirements

• Tertiary qualified in Commerce, Finance or Accounting, minimum a BCom Degree
• At least 5 years financial management experience in a relevant industry

Salary - R40k R60k basic, negotiable and dependent on experience.
