You'll be FCCA, ACA, or ACCA qualified with a demonstrable background in planning and completing audits for a varied client portfolio. A practising certificate would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential for this role, and you'll be a self-starter who can see projects through to completion in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will be a talented auditor with excellent communication skills, able to lead the audit team by championing service excellence.
Job purpose
- Overseeing the planning and completion of audit for the firm's varied client portfolio.
- Leading the audit team within a thriving firm of accountants.
- Working in support of the Partners, managing the audit function.
- Working closely with other internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of others, ensuring client expectations and deadlines are being met.
- Providing mentorship and training for junior members of staff, adopting a constructive and supportive approach to professional development.
- Representing the company at networking and business events, confidently scoping new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients.

The successful candidate
- FCCA, ACA, or ACCA qualified.
- Demonstrable experience in leading an Audit team.
- Technically proficient with close attention to detail.
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills.
- Demonstrable experience in winning and developing new and established clients.
- Practicing certificate would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated with the ability to produce work in a timely manner.
- A strategic, creative, and analytical thinker.
- A strong relationship builder with the ability to develop new business opportunities.
