Fantastic opportunity in North Derbyshire at a rapidly growing business just off of Junction 28 with free onsite parking. SF Recruitment are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support a buoyant and fantastic business based in South Normanton. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of purchase ledger tasks as well as providing ad-hoc cover for the credit control function. They will have strong team working skills; be proactive, enthusiastic and have a great attention to detail. Prior experience of working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a high volume of transactions within both purchase ledger and credit control, in an SME environment, is essential. They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a calm manner and the ability to juggle multiple demands to ensure all deadlines are met. Duties will include: Purchase Ledger (Approx. 85%) - Code, check and register invoices onto Syspro for 3 group entities - Obtain approval for invoices in line with approval limits - Match invoices, where there is a PO, to the PO and GRN - Check and reconcile supplier statements - Deal with any purchase ledger enquiries (both internal and external) - Process staff expenses in line with Company policy - Make an active contribution to the improvement of the department and the organisation Credit Control (Approx. 15% for cover) - Raise invoices & credit notes for the 3 entities - Post payments received for the 3 entities - Deal with any sales ledger enquiries (both internal and external) - Provide copy documents to customers as requested (e.g. copy invoices/PODs) - Contact customers regarding payments - Ensure that all activities are carried out as required by the credit controllers Ensure that your own workload is planned and managed effectively whilst contributing to the development of the team through active involvement in team meetings, objectives, project work and communications. The salary is dependent on experience, you must have a minimum of 2 years recent purchase ledger experience to be considered.
