A local specialist Engineering company are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join the team at their Prudhoe office on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience controlling and managing all business costs.

Role & Responsibilities

* Producing Monthly Profit and Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets by department and revenue centres

* Ensuring that all Balance Sheets Control accounts are reconciled at month end

* Managing any foreign exchange rate risks

* Reconcile Fixed asset register each month making sure that all assets have been disposed of or added correctly

* Managing and Supervising 3 members of staff within the Finance Team

* Monitoring the daily cash position and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts

* Ensuring the company has the required working capital for the business by ensuring stock levels are maintained at the required level

* Management of debtors' balance and ensuring Credit Control is efficient and effective.

* Managing Creditors payments so that payment terms are agreed and not to damage supplier relationships

* Completion of VAT returns including corporation tax for the non-audit companies

* Preparing budgets and rolling forecasts

* Managing and preparing payroll for submission to the bureau, year end and P11D

Knowledge & Experience

* Previous experience of managing all business costs and budget

* The ability to prepare weekly cash flow forecasts

* Supervisory or team leader experience

* Previous experience within credit control

* Excellent computer skills

* Must be extremely organised and be able to prioritise a busy workload

* Strong communication skills written and verbal
