Job Summary

UPS is recruiting for a State and Local Tax Intern. The Intern collaborates with a variety of management levels on projects that contribute to the success of the team. This position uses discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations, and business improvement opportunities. This position performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

Prepares corporate income tax returns for UPS and its subsidiaries
Processes tax return filings, prepare estimated tax payments
Responds to notices from state and local tax authorities

Preferences

Possesses strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills; ability to work well as part of the team
Demonstrates an understanding of the tax preparing process
Recent graduate or pursuing a degree in Accounting and/or a Master's degree in Taxation
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access)
Willing to work a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week
