Leading and mentoring an Accounts Payable Team- Global Company - Western Sydney location - Hybrid Working Conditions -System Implementation Project

Our client is a global market leader and are experiencing large growth. They are also currently rolling out a new system, so it is a very exciting time to join the business. As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will have 8 direct reports and be responsible for managing the non-merchandise accounts payable function. The company is located in Western Sydney (parking on-site) and they allow flexible working conditions (3 days from office, 2 days from home)
Working within their modern offices, the role will suit a highly motivated and driven individual to mentor the team to success. The company will also provide a lot of support to the successful candidate.

Position Description
Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to the following duties;
- Leading a team of 8 Accounts Payable Officers
- Be the Accounts Payable point of contact with key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop team performance
- Liaising with suppliers and perform month-end reconciliations
- GL coding, payment execution and journalling
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing supplier
- Assist with the rollout of the new version of the SAP software system
- Cleaning up legacy systems and maintaining BAU
The successful applicant will the following:
- Strong accounts payable management experience
- Non-merchandise related experience will be highly desirable, including experience with GL coding, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong month-end and year-end reporting experience
- Experience with system rollout projects would be desirable (experience with SAP Ariba would be an added bonus).
- Candidates need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to apply and be successful.
