Reporting to the Finance Business Manager, the Management Accountant will work closely with both the business and the finance team to provide hands-on, high-level of financial and analytical support through the production and review of financial reports, the role will evaluate, manage and report on financial performance.

In addition to this is a range of general accounting duties within the financial team, for example, management of subcontractor invoices and preparation of customer invoicing, etc.

What you'll do

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reports including variance analysis
• Project controls and administration, including setup and maintenance of projects, job costing and WIP recognition
• Monthly invoicing and receipting, reconciling and maintaining records for reconciliation
• General administrative duties to support the business operations and teams and continuous improvement identification for existing processes

What you bring

• Experience in a similar role, ideally with a professional services firm
• Relevant Degree qualifications
• CA or CPA (open to in-progress)
• Experience working with a large, project-based financial system, such as JDE
• Demonstrated technical competence in the areas of cost control, tracking and reporting
• Demonstrated excellence in month-end processing
• Sound communication skills, both written and verbal
