Position summary
Downer is one of Australia's largest and most experienced providers in the Power Systems and Infrastructure Projects sector. We have recently secured several major projects and are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team based out of the Underdale SA office.

Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will own the daily updating of project controls, and budgeting, cost forecasting and commercial activities of the Project. This includes managing the reporting requirements in the project delivery module of Candy, head contract reporting, subcontract management, general office support and ensuring compliance with Infrastructure Projects policies and procedures, stakeholder requirements and statutory regulations.

ABOUT YOU:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting or similar relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 1-3yrs experience in project controls and cost forecasting in a large project delivery environment, particularly infrastructure, would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Candy system would be advantageous
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in liaising and building relationships with internal and external clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of computerised accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail, information process and problem solving capability
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • High levels of motivation and excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands within the business.
  • Understanding of relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and legislation as applied to the road construction and maintenance industry.
