Reporting to the Finance Manager, this newly created opportunity will be required to lead and assist the payroll team to ensure effective administration of payroll services across the entire team function. You will lead the efficient work processes to manage the work volume and peak periods, whilst coordinating with the Payroll Officer and Payroll Specialist on execution. This is a crucial role in the development and optimisation space of our client's payroll function.

What you need:
- Proven experience in leadership through coaching, job upskilling, and further development for the payroll team whilst building strong relationships across the company
- Solid experience with payroll and sound knowledge with Chris21/iChris
- Knowledgeable in payroll legislation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment whilst maintaining the ability to make decisions within the guidelines and share back to the Finance Manager and wider finance team
- Demonstrated Excell skills, Microsoft skills, and other software and payroll systems
- Experience within payroll, payroll reporting, business improvement, and confidence working with data
