Salary: $72,292.89 - $74,082.61 per annum (Plus 17.5 leave loading and salary packaging)

Position Summary:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Payroll Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will join a high performance payroll services team responsible for delivering efficient payroll services to approximately 4,000 FTE employees.

As the Payroll Services Officer your core role will involve:
  • Working with other Payroll Services Officers to deliver a highly accurate payroll service
  • Participate in process improvement projects
  • Business engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across a number of entities to ensure their needs are met and exceeded
  • Deliver high quality customer service
  • You will be a valued member of a medium sized multi-skilled Payroll services team with an emphasis on business engagement, knowledge sharing and service delivery.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria:
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
  • Experience in a complex high volume payroll environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Exposure to CHRIS 21 or similar payroll system
  • Exposure to an automated time and attendance system Preferably Kronos or similar
  • Demonstrated experience with Health awards/agreements or worked in an area with complex award conditions across multiple agreements
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of superior internal customer service at an operational level.
  • Having positive can do attitude.
