Primary Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities for our New York location would include: 

  • Preparation and review of individual income tax returns including multi-state filings
  • Preparation and review of gift, trust, partnership, corporation, and private foundation tax returns
  • Preparation of quarterly income tax projections, estimated taxes and extensions
  • Assist in various services to high-net-worth individuals, including mortgage applications, insurance matters, RMD analysis and cash flow projections
  • Bookkeeping services including general ledger postings, bank reconciliations, write-ups, and preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of payroll tax returns and other information filings
  • Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits
  • Ability to research tax issues and apply practical tax analysis
  • Prepare detailed, comprehensible workpapers
  • Familiar with foreign tax filings including F-Bars, PFICS, QEF elections etc.

Responsibilities for our Fort Worth location would include: 

  • Manage, train, and mentor staff on projects and monitor performance of the tax team to serve our clients
  • Prepare and review income tax returns including multi-state filings, and K1s.
  • Mentor and train staff of tax accountants and CPAs
  • Ability to research tax issues and apply practical tax analysis
  • Review financial statements and tax forms to check for errors
  • Provide business management accounting/light booking services for multiple clients

Ideal Candidate Profile – “Our Casting Call!”

  • Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA or Enrolled Agent
  • 10+ years of income tax preparation and review experience for high-net-worth individuals
  • Proficient with CCH Axcess Tax/Prosystem fx Tax, BNA Income Tax Planner, QuickBooks, online tax research software and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with trusts, partnerships, S corporations, and foundations preferred
  • Advanced analytical and tax technical skills
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage workflow, multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work weekends during “busy” season
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – you must clearly communicate with the internal team at all levels and with clients
  • Be a strong team player, providing superior service for all that we do, taking complete ownership of even the smallest task
  • Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment
