Your new company
Hays are working exclusively with an ambitious and growing IT service and Telecoms provider to find a temporary Credit Controller. This organisation are highly successful and following some investment and new growth plans are performing very well in the market.

Your new role
The main purpose of the role will be to provide cover for a minimum of 6 months and oversee the end to end credit control process for a division of the group business. Specifically you will be tasked:

  • To prioritise securing payment from customers within the company's credit terms, in order to maintain company cash flow and minimise bad debt
  • To maintain the Aged Debt report and spreadsheet and provide commentary for Financial Controller providing details of outstanding debt, and escalate/agree best course of action where required
  • Liaise with the FC and Head of Technical Services regarding recovery action
  • To process daily customer receipts
  • To send monthly customer statements
  • To resolve customer invoices queries by email and telephone, liaising with team members from other departments to ensure a prompt outcome
  • Provide advice / information to the business on matters surrounding your expertise and technical knowledge
  • Act as a point of contact into the finance department to support the other finance roles and any general enquires coming in
  • General finance admin duties as required


This is a full time role working 42.5 hours a week but is 100% remote based and exact working pattern may be flexible for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2+ Years of experience as a Credit Controller
  • Substantive experience in the implementation, management and evolution of ERP / Accounting Systems
  • NetSuite experience essential
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • IT or Telecoms experience beneficial
  • Strong excel skills (pivot, VLOOKUP minimum level)
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible team player
  • Excellent communicator
  • Problem solver with good attention to detail
  • Experienced in sales and general ledgers
