Temporary Finance Assistant - 6 months £13.00 - £16.00 per hour ASAP Start Central Oxford Higher Education

A reputable organisation within the higher education, based in central Oxford. Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team immediately, for a period of 6 months.

Your new role

• Respond to enquiries, providing advice on financial procedures and policies
• Process invoices in the Oracle Financial system and deal with queries
• Process purchase orders, receipt deliveries and reconcile supplier statements, checking figures for errors and omissions
• Process expenses claim forms according to procedures, querying spend where necessary
• Receive monies, noting them accurately, scanning and filing for internal records and submitting to the Finance Officer for banking and reconciliation.
• Maintain petty cash.
• Other Ad Hoc duties

What you'll need to succeed

• Great customer service skills, with decent communication ability
• Ability to process a high volume of transactional work accurately and with high attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience of working in Finance.
• An ability to learn and follow strict regulations and ensure compliance.
• IT: Excel (essential), Oracle R12 (desirable)

What you'll get in return

This is a great non-qualified finance position within higher education, for a period of 6 months. Although temporary, this role has potential to move to a permanent contract. You will also have the opportunity to earn between £13.00 - £16.00 per hour.
