Description

The key responsibilities of the interim financial accountant:

• Reviewing the preparation of the monthly management accounts, group consolidation, half year, and annual financial accounts
• Dealing with external audit queries
• Prepare the quarterly VAT return and liaising with third party advisers in areas of tax compliance
• Preparing the monthly internal board pack as well as papers for the Audit Committee, e.g. support judgemental areas
• Working with the finance department and the wider business to ensure there are effective controls around the operational finance activities
• Reviewing and approving quarterly balance sheet reconciliation

Profile

The successful interim financial accountant will be:

• Fully qualified accountant with excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, FRS etc.)
• Audit background, with experience of medium to large groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently, and as part of wider team
• Ability to work under pressure
• Person who displays the right attitude coupled with the energy to execute. An ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Good time management
