Mō te Tukurau Aotearoa - About NZ Post's Super PlanThe NZ Post Superannuation Plan is a retirement savings plan for NZ Post employees that was closed to new members in 2010. The Plan continues to be an attractive and useful way for members to save for their retirement. This role is responsible for portfolio management including analysis & reporting for current members of this legacy plan.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
There's a variety of work for you to get stuck into, primarily in providing accounting, analytical and administrative support to our Superannuation Plan Manager. You'll do this by completing month end accounting tasks, research and monitoring plan performance, and engagement with members, third party advisers and external providers.
This is an onsite role based in Wellington CBD, however we can be flexible around what days you work. It could be either

* Part time Mon,Wed, Fri (9am - 5pm). If this option is preferred, you will need to make yourself available for a Thursday once a month, and three times a year we'll need you for a full week for audits.
* Fulltime 9am-3pm 5 days a week (we've got a wishlist of project work to do that could occupy you full time if required)

This is a great role for skills growth! Many previous team members in this role have springboarded their careers onto great roles in investment, brokering, and other finance/commerce roles. It is a great role to have on your CV!
Mōu - About you
We are relaxed about what your background might be; perhaps you are a savvy finance graduate with a couple of years commercial experience looking for progression. Or maybe you have worked in Accounts Payable / Receivable and looking for growth. Or have enjoyed your career and looking to take a step back.
Either way, you will need to be really knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel, and have a good understanding of accounting (debits and credits as a minimum).
You'll be working in a small team, so you'll need to be a self-starter who is curious and keen to learn. You'll get exposure to complex transactions so will need to demonstrate your first-class attention to detail. And importantly, you'll be engaging with a range of people, from members to directors, so you will need to have had some experience building relationships and a strong customer focus. Important will be for you to show independence, aptitude and initiative, commitment to the job & reliability.
Interested? Come join the Whanau!
This is a great opportunity to work in a small, dedicated team, where you will be supported to grow your knowledge and skills in supporting investment schemes.
