Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Our high performing Strategy, Finance and Policy Team has a Senior Project Accountant opportunity available that will act as the key interface between the Finance team and Market Delivery Group for reporting, financial transactions, forecasting and budgeting.

Working as part of a high performing, collaborative team you will provide technical financial, project and management accounting, business performance expertise and services to Kāinga Ora's budget holders and Strategy, Finance and Policy Business Partners.

Some of your key duties will include:

* Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and budget preparation for assigned projects
* Providing guidance on accounting treatment and ensure transactions are accounted for appropriately
* Supporting asset capitalisation by ensuring the integrity of information provided
* Enabling the right outcomes for Kāinga Ora by building and managing key relationships

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

In order to be successful in this key role you will hold a CA or similar qualification, and you will demonstrate:

* 5yrs + experience working in large, complex organisations, ideally in the construction or property sector
* Strong financial and project accounting experience
* Demonstrated ability to work with financial models, identify and analyse complex data to provide information and enable decision-making
* Demonstrated commitment to fostering good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
* The ability to clearly and concisely convey information and ideas in both oral and written communication
* Experience in process improvement, being innovative and continuous improvement focused
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
* A collaborative, positive approach
