Finance Analyst - Leading Housing Organisation - Remote/Office Hybrid Working - Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading housing organisation based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Finance Analyst. A 12 Month Fixed Term contract offering remote/office hybrid working, within an organisation that is experiencing continued growth in a supportive finance team. The position will involve developing and maintaining the finance business service to key business stakeholders. The finance analyst will work with the partnering team to provide analysis and insight to the business that drives opportunities, manages risk, and supports delivery of strategic plans.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve supporting the preparation of robust budgets, providing challenge to make sure targets are met and reforecasting appropriately. You will understand the value drivers of the business, maintain and report on relevant finance KPI's, implement audit recommendations/improvements, and be able to build effective pro-active stakeholder relationships. You will provide analysis of financial results, making the link to commercial and operating information to drive decisions, drive a culture of change within the team, and mange upwards ensuring service expectations are delivered. You will support in the delivery of timely accurate financial accounts, including month/year-end reports, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, journal posting and work collaboratively with the accounting teams.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting Finance Analyst role you will need experience within a similar position, key commercial acumen, strong communication and relationships building skills to partner with internal management and teams (both finance and non-finance), operations and external parties, along with being able to build trust and influence outcomes. You will have key MS excel skills, good accounting systems experience, and practical experience of budgeting, management accounting and business planning. You will have an understanding of appropriate legislation and financial reporting standards, be able to manage workloads and meet time constraint deadlines. Ideally you will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, candidates qualified by experience will be considered. Experience within the housing sector would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This 12 Months fixed term contract is offering a salary between £28,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. With hybrid remote/office working (2 days in the office, 3 days from home) along with 27 days holiday plus bank holidays and further organisation benefits.
