Robert Half have partnered with our well-known Client to recruit a driven and hardworking individual for their entry level Assistant Accountant opportunity. This brilliant role is very involved and will bring new challenges and rewards each day as you balance a range of transactional and reporting duties alongside your Finance Manager. The Role

Prepare to be challenged by a role where no two days are ever the same. Your special accounting skills will see you involved in everything from accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings through to bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliations. You will gain exposure to various tasks associated with a traditional assistant accounting role with the guidance and support of your Finance Manager.

Your Skills & Experience

• At least two years of exceptional accounting experience.
• Working towards a CPA qualification.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Intermediate Excel skills (Vlookups, standard functions and pivot tables).
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Experience with accounting systems - ability to learn new systems.
• Brilliant organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.

About you

You offer a brilliant combination of accounting and technical skills, with a creative flair to interpret information and offer initiatives to streamline the accounting and reporting process. You are a numbers person, yet you have the business insights to meaningfully interpret financial data, and you can work seamlessly without supervision.
