Your New Role
There is always a lot on in start-ups and this is no exception. You will be the first accountant onto the scene under the CFO and be tasked with anything that needs doing. You'll complete the essentials when it comes to compliance, consolidations, research, taxation - direct and indirect, management reporting, statutory reporting, financial statements, work with auditors, update financial models, support IPO activities & require documentation, risk management, foreign currency reporting, systems implementation (presently Xero), and much more! You may start out as the corporate/financial accountant, but will have the opportunity to transform your role over time as development gates are met.

Your Profile
You thrive is a small tight knit team and dynamic, continuously changing environment. You are interested in mining and making a difference with your efforts. You take great pride in producing timely and accurate numbers, and are calm under pressure. You communicate well across phone, email, in-person, and VC. You are happy to work in a small team environment with shared responsibilities and are a reliable team member. At the Client's request you will have a CA/CPA and ideally some exposure to mining or contract mining through your public accounting or corporate experience (or mix of both). Experience with Xero would be helpful, and intermediate to advanced excel skills are required. International accounting experience is a definite plus.
