The Company
The organisation are an established and highly successful firm with a brilliant culture. Offices are located close to the CBD on Melbourne's western side and private parking is available. Train and tram stops also close by. You will work as part of a stable and supportive finance team. They require someone to join 5 days per week as an Accounts Payable Officer for at least 6 months initially though this could extend or become permanent.
The Role
This is a great role for anyone who wants a challenging AP role in a great business and can commit to 5 days per week. This role requires strong prior exposure to payment processing.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, some typical duties in this position will involve:
Interviews for this role will start around mid-June with the successful candidate commencing soon afterwards. Please note that the role is initially for 6-9 months though could very well be extended or become permanent.
Your Profile
You will have a background in accounting support with ideally a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Processing invoices for payment
- Handling mainly domestic Australian invoice payments
- Bi weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Handling invoice related queries from suppliers
- Supporting with other ad hoc accounting tasks
- Helping to clear invoice backlogs
- Suggesting ideas for process improvement
- Bank reconciliations

Your Profile
You will have a background in accounting support with ideally a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- MUST have strong experience processing payments and end to end accounts payable

- Strong accounts payable experience

- Stable career history
- Comfortable working close to the CBD on Melbourne's western side
