Job Details

The EMEA Financial Accountant will have responsibility for the production, accurate and timely filing of statutory accounts for selected EMEAA legal entities.This is also a key role in the EMEAA accounting team in providing assistance to the EMEAA Finance Managers in a number of areas of the accounting close process.

Description

  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with local GAAP's. Production of the financial statements is expected to provide a challenge including but not limited to, business acquisitions and disposals, group restructuring, predecessor accounting and the impacts of new accounting standards
  • Planning, co-ordination and conduct audits with the external auditors and the internal accounting and shared service teams
  • Preparation of reconciliation or bridge between local GAAP statutory accounts and results reported under U.S. GAAP
  • Ensure any local GAAP adjustments are communicated and processed in the local GAAP ledgers on a continuous basis or following any one-off adjustments found necessary during the annual audit/accounts preparation process
  • Provide assistance with U.S. group audit
  • Provide assistance to the EMEAA Finance Managers on a number of tasks relating to the monthly and annual close
  • Provide assistance to the Tax team regarding the monthly close and reconciliation using OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) software
  • Preparation of VAT Returns and annual Corporate Tax Returns for selected entities
  • Maintaining ledgers for non-trading holding companies
  • Review and develop external reporting processes
  • Provide ongoing support for ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Profile

  • Fully qualified ACA / ACCA, practice experience
  • Would suit newly qualified accountant or up to 5 years PQE
  • Technically proficient with ability to prepare accounting memos for auditing purposes
  • Strong working knowledge of FRS102
  • Excellent Excel, Word and analysis skills
  • SAP &/or other accounting software experience desired
  • Organised, dedicated, process orientated and deadline focused
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and communicate with people at all levels across the business
  • Thrives working in a fast paced environment with ability to adapt to change
