ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT- 12 MONTH FTC- BENFLEET

My client is looking for a versatile accounts/clerical assistance to cover for maternity leave on purchase ledger duties with some ancillary duties. Based at the head office in Benfleet, the company operates a commercial vehicle hire operation of 400 vehicles. They promote a friendly and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Processing 100 invoices per week coded among 80 nominal ledger codes over 180 live accounts
• Approval, coding, posting & filing of supplier invoices
• Reconciling monthly supplier account statements & suppler liaison
• Monthly supplier payment run, including direct debits, credit cards
• Petty cash administration
• Sage Accounts administration

Required Skills:

• General numeracy and literacy abilities
• General bookkeeping experience/knowledge
• Sage Accounts experience advantageous, but not essential as training provided
• Computer literacy
• Able to confidently use excel
